Chemical peels in Glendale

A chemical peel lifts away the dull, damaged surface layer so newer, healthier skin can take its place. Katherine carries the VI Peel with the Perfect Derma Peel, choosing depth and formula for your skin at a consultation.

  • A choice of two branded formulas at the same price
  • Strength is controlled layer by layer during application
  • Sessions of roughly 30 to 90 minutes
Katherine's approach

Katherine chooses peel depth after reviewing your skin type, your history with actives, and how much visible flaking your schedule allows. The solution goes on in controlled layers, so the strength stays matched to what was planned.

When texture sits deeper than a peel reaches, she may recommend microneedling, on its own or sequenced with peels across the year.

Who it's for

Uneven tone, sun damage, dull texture, shallow lines, or marks left after breakouts. Not ideal right before a major event unless timed with the flaking window in mind.

The process

Skin is cleansed, then the solution is applied in layers, with a warm or tingling feeling that stays tolerable. Depending on the peel, the visit runs 30 to 90 minutes.

Over the following days the treated layer flakes away on its own. Light peels are often repeated every 4 to 6 weeks, with most patients seeing their best results after 3 to 6 treatments.

Downtime

Light peels: a day or two of redness or light flaking. Deeper peels: up to two weeks of visible peeling. Either way, no picking, daily SPF 30 or higher, gentle products only until your skin fully heals.

What it costs

VI Peel $350.00
Perfect Derma Peel $350.00
Package of three $900.00

Common questions

Both target tone, texture, and clarity, with formulas that differ in their active blend. The choice comes down to your skin type and history, which is exactly what the consultation is for.

Expect tingling or a stinging warmth during application, stronger with deeper peels, tolerable for most people. It fades quickly once the peel is complete.

It varies by depth and by person: some skin flakes lightly for two days, some sheds visibly for a week. Katherine tells you what to expect from your specific peel before you book it.

Stop retinoids, exfoliants, and other actives 5 to 7 days ahead. Stay out of strong sun, skip waxing or laser on the area, and arrive with clean, makeup free skin.
