Frequently asked questions
The questions patients ask most, answered the way Katherine answers them at the studio. Anything not covered here is welcome at your complimentary consultation.
The big ones
Most patients describe it as a quick pinch. The needle is very small, each injection takes seconds, then you are done in under 30 minutes. No numbing is needed for this one.
Filler appointments are different: the filler itself contains lidocaine and topical numbing is available, so comfort is managed the whole way through.
Typically 6 to 24 months, depending on which filler is used and where it is placed. Results show immediately, then keep improving over 2 to 3 weeks as the filler settles into your tissue.
This is the most common worry, and it shapes how Katherine works. She trained specifically in facial balancing and lip enhancement, so treatment plans are built around your existing proportions.
Conservative dosing keeps your normal expression, and more can be added at a follow up visit.
Usually very little. Botox patients typically head straight back to their day. Filler can bring a few days of swelling or light bruising. Microneedling leaves skin pink for 24 to 72 hours, while peels flake for a few days depending on depth.
Katherine reviews exact aftercare for your treatment before you leave.
You do not need to know. That is what the consultation is for. Tell Katherine what bothers you, and she will lay out the options with exact pricing. You decide from there.
Yes, consultations are complimentary. It is a conversation about your concerns and goals. You leave with a clear plan plus exact pricing.
Treatment by treatment
All three are neurotoxin injectables that soften lines by relaxing the muscles that crease the skin. Their formulas differ slightly, so units are dosed differently. Katherine walks you through the options, then you choose the product you prefer.
Micro doses of neurotoxin placed across the full face and neck, closer to the surface than standard Botox. It is used to smooth skin texture while keeping normal expression.
Arrive with clean, makeup free skin.
- Avoid NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, Aleve, Celebrex) for one week before injection, along with fish oil, Gingko Biloba, St. John’s Wort, high dose Vitamin E.
- Avoid Retin-A, Tretinoin, retinoids for three days before injection.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before injection.
- If you bruise easily, Arnica tablets may be started one day before treatment.
- No dental appointments two weeks before or two weeks after injectable treatment.
If you are pregnant or nursing, injectables wait until you are done.
Usually more than one, spaced about a month apart. It varies with how much fullness is under the chin and the result you are after. Once treated fat cells are gone, they do not come back.
A series of 3 to 6 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart is typical, depending on your skin concerns. Collagen rebuilds gradually, so results keep developing for weeks after each session.
Light peels may flake for a day or two. Deeper peels can peel for up to two weeks. Katherine matches the peel depth to your skin and your schedule, then sends you home with exact aftercare.
Most infusions run 30 to 90 minutes depending on the blend. You can rest, read, or catch up on your phone, then return to normal activity right away.
Each one nudges your skin to make fresh collagen rather than relying on synthetic volume. PRP concentrates the platelets from your own blood. EZ Gel turns your plasma into a natural gel filler. Sculptra uses poly-L-lactic acid to trigger collagen production over several months.
